Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Finely chop the onion and measure out the rest of your ingredients for easy access during cooking.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until fully browned.
  • Add in the chopped onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onions are translucent.
  • Sprinkle the brown gravy mix over the meat and onions, then add the cold water. Stir to ensure the gravy mix is fully dissolved.
  • Stir in the can of cream of mushroom soup and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream. Simmer for about 5 minutes to let the flavors marry.
  • While the sauce simmers, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente (around 8-10 minutes).
  • Once both the pasta and sauce are ready, either add the noodles directly to the sauce or serve sauce over individual portions of noodles.
  • Sprinkle dried parsley on top for garnish and serve.
