Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather and prepare all your ingredients: julienne the carrots, slice the bell peppers, and chop the green onions.

Cooking Noodles

  • Cook the lo mein noodles in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with sesame oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.

Cooking Beef

  • In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, and drain excess fat once cooked.

Sautéing Aromatics

  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan with the ground beef and cook for about one minute until fragrant.

Adding Vegetables

  • Add julienned carrots and sliced bell peppers and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crunchy.

Making the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water to make the sauce.

Combining Ingredients

  • Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetable mixture and toss until well coated and sauce thickens slightly, about 2 minutes.

Mixing in Noodles

  • Gently fold in the cooked noodles, ensuring all ingredients are intertwined and coated. Stir for an additional minute off the heat.

Serving

  • Stir in chopped green onions right before serving for freshness and crunch.
