Preparation

  • Gather and prepare all your ingredients. Chop the scallions and mince the garlic. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat until shimmering.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they are brown and cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for about five minutes.
  • In the same pan, add the minced garlic and chopped scallions. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender and aromatic.
  • Slice the rested chicken into strips or bite-sized pieces.
  • Return the sliced chicken to the pan, tossing with the garlic and scallions.
  • Drizzle the soy sauce over the mixture, stirring for another minute until combined.
  • Serve hot, either alone or over rice or noodles.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the chicken before cooking. Additional vegetables such as bell peppers or broccoli can be added for variety, and a splash of sesame oil can enhance the flavor profile.
