  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free blend
  • 1 cup milk Can substitute with almond or soy milk for dairy-free
  • 3 large eggs Should be at room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • enough to coat beef drippings or vegetable oil Use vegetable oil for a vegan version

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by measuring out all your ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, and salt until smooth.
  • Allow the batter to rest for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Add a little beef drippings or vegetable oil to each cup of your muffin tin and place the tin in the preheating oven until the oil is very hot, about 5 minutes.
  • Once the oil is sizzling, carefully pour the batter into each cup, filling them about halfway.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until they have puffed up beautifully and turned golden brown.
  • Do not open the oven door during baking.

Serving

  • Once out of the oven, serve Yorkshire Pudding hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
