Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by measuring out all your ingredients. Soak 1 cup of raw cashews in water for at least 4 hours.
  • Once the cashews are soft, drain them and rinse under cold water.

Blending

  • Add the soaked cashews to your blender along with 1/4 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • Blend until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Scrape down the sides of the blender to ensure everything is mixed evenly.
  • Taste your Vegan Sour Cream and adjust the seasoning by adding more salt, lemon juice, or vinegar if needed.

Chilling

  • Transfer the Vegan Sour Cream to a clean container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

  • Serve your Vegan Sour Cream with your favorite dishes and enjoy!

Notes

For a rich flavor, consider adding garlic powder or fresh herbs like dill or chives. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
