  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup M&M candies Use seasonal colors for variety

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients before you start.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes using an electric mixer).
  • Beat in the vanilla extract, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet mixture until just incorporated.
  • Fold in the M&M candies gently.

Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze up to three months.
