  • Food coloring (pink, red, etc.) Use quality gels for better color results.

Fillings

  • Filling of your choice (buttercream, ganache, jam) Customize based on preference.

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients and measuring them out.
  • Make sure your egg whites are at room temperature.

Mixing Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, sift the almond flour and powdered sugar together.

Whipping

  • Whip the egg whites until foamy, then add cream of tartar.
  • Gradually incorporate the granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.

Combining Ingredients

  • Gently fold in the dry mixture to the whipped egg whites.
  • Add food coloring to reach desired shade.

Piping & Baking

  • Pipe small circles onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Let sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

Cooling & Filling

  • Allow macarons to cool completely on the baking sheet.
  • Match up shells and fill as desired.
