  • Gather all your ingredients, ensuring the butter is at room temperature.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the vanilla extract and then add the eggs one at a time.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed in the dough.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, ensuring there's space between each.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golden.
