Ingrédients
  

Chocolate Cake

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Frosting

  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add egg, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cake cool completely before frosting.
  • For the frosting, beat butter with powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and milk until smooth. Spread over cake.

Notes

Decorate with fresh berries or heart-shaped sprinkles for a Valentine’s Day touch.
