  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup caramel candies Can substitute with homemade caramel sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips Dark or white chocolate can be used as alternatives.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar for about 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • In another bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter-sugar blend, mixing until a thick dough forms.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
  • Cool the cookies on a wire rack for about 5 minutes.

Topping

  • Melt the caramel candies with the heavy cream over low heat until smooth.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce over cooled cookies.
  • Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the caramel.
  • Let the cookies sit at room temperature until the chocolate sets.

Notes

For best results, use quality ingredients and allow cookies to cool completely before adding toppings.
