Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients together. Ensure you’ve got everything you need at hand for a seamless cooking experience.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, gently add the eggs to the pot. Cover the pot and let the eggs cook for 6-7 minutes.
  • Prepare a large bowl filled with cold water and ice. Once the eggs are finished cooking, transfer them immediately to this ice bath for about 5 minutes.
  • Once the eggs are cool, gently tap them on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel them under running water.
  • Cut each egg in half vertically and place the whites on a serving platter. Carefully pluck the yolks from the egg whites and place them in a medium mixing bowl.

Mixing the Filling

  • Use the back of a spoon to mash the egg yolks until smooth.
  • To the mashed yolks, add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and horseradish. Mix until fully combined.
  • Stir in the drained tuna and finely chopped green onions, breaking the tuna into small pieces.
  • Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.

Assembly

  • Transfer the tuna filling into a piping bag or a Ziploc bag with a corner cut off. Pipe the mixture into the hollowed egg whites.
