Ingrédients
  

For the Bars

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp peppermint extract
  • green food coloring to desired shade

For the Icing

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk adjust as needed for consistency

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray or butter.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
  • Beat in the eggs, vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and green food coloring until smooth and evenly colored.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  • For the icing, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Add green food coloring if desired.
  • Spread the icing evenly over the cooled bars, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a week. For freezing, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil. Customize with white chocolate chips or sprinkles for extra flair!
