Instructions
Gather all your ingredients and kitchen tools, including a large pot and utensils.
Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat until no longer pink, about 6–8 minutes.
Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until softened.
Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and black beans. Mix well.
Season with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat evenly.
Pour in beef broth and stir. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat.
Simmer covered for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
Serve hot with optional toppings such as cheese, sour cream, or avocado.
