Cocktail Ingredients

  • 2 oz 100% apple cider For a sweet, tangy base that embodies fall.
  • 2 oz pear juice Adds a smooth, fruity element.
  • 1.5 oz gold tequila The spirit that ties the cocktail together.
  • 1 oz Grand Marnier or orange liqueur Introduces a citrus twist.
  • Salt for glass Adds a savory contrast to the sweetness of the drink.
  • 1 lime wedge To adhere salt to glass (alternatively use simple syrup).
  • 1 cinnamon stick For garnish, adds a seasonal touch.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients and measuring them out.
  • Pour a 1/4" layer of salt on a small plate. Run a lime wedge along the rim of your cocktail glass before turning it upside down and gently pressing it into the salt.
  • Scoop ice into the prepared glass until it's about three-quarters full. Squeeze the remaining lime wedge over the ice.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the apple cider, pear juice, gold tequila, and Grand Marnier.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  • Remove the shaker cap and strain the liquid mix into your prepared cocktail glass.
  • Finish with a whole cinnamon stick for garnish.
  • Take a moment to admire your creation before indulging.

Notes

Add a spicy twist by introducing sliced jalapeños, or a cranberry twist by substituting some apple cider with cranberry juice. For vegan versions, ensure simple syrup is plant-based.
