  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips You can use dairy-free or dark chocolate chips.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all your ingredients.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed butter mixture on low speed until fully incorporated.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula.

Baking

  • Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space between each mound.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden but the centers remain soft.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container. For added softness, include a piece of bread in the container.
