Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients needed for Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan, crimping the edges as desired.

Layering & Filling

  • Evenly spread the pecan halves in the bottom of the prepared pie crust.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter, large eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour the filling over the pecans, ensuring they are coated.
  • In a small bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream; microwave until melted and smooth.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate over the filling and swirl for a marbled effect.

Baking & Serving

  • Bake in preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, until the filling is set but slightly jiggly.
  • Let the pie cool completely for at least 2 hours before slicing.
  • Slice and serve as is, or top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. For longer storage, freeze slices wrapped tightly.
