Pizza Base Ingredients

  • 2 pieces corn tortillas 2 corn tortillas per pizza
  • 1/3 lb ground beef Seasoned with taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup refried beans Spread on the tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning For seasoning the beef
  • 3 tablespoons enchilada or pizza sauce To spread on the top
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese Melted on top
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes Garnish for freshness
  • 2 tablespoons neutral oil For frying the tortillas

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  • Add taco seasoning and a splash of water to the cooked beef, simmmer for about 3-4 minutes until it thickens, then set aside.
  • In another skillet, heat neutral oil over medium-high heat and fry corn tortillas until golden and crispy on both sides. Drain on paper towels.

Assembly

  • On a baking sheet, place one crispy tortilla as a base and spread half of the refried beans over it.
  • Spoon seasoned ground beef covers the refried beans completely.
  • Top with another crispy tortilla to create a second layer.
  • Spread enchilada sauce on top and sprinkle with shredded Mexican blend cheese.
  • Garnish with diced tomatoes.

Baking

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for about 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Allow to cool slightly before slicing to serve.

Notes

Serve with sides like guacamole, salsa, or a fresh salad. Customize toppings based on dietary preferences.
