  • 1 pie crust pie crust Homemade or store-bought.

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients.
  • Bake or steam your sweet potatoes until tender. Once cooled, peel and mash them until smooth.

Mixing the Filling

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes and sugar. Stir well until fully blended.
  • Incorporate the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
  • Add in the cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Gently stir to combine.

Finalize the Pie

  • Fit the pie crust into your pie dish.
  • Pour the sweet potato filling into the prepared pie crust and smooth the top.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45-50 minutes, or until set.
