  • 1 cup heavy cream Whipped to stiff peaks.
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure it's at room temperature.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon zest of lime Use fresh lime zest for the best flavor.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Make sure your cream cheese is softened.
  • Peel and dice your mangoes and set them aside.

Cooking the Base

  • Preheat your oven according to the instructions for your tart crust.
  • Bake the pre-made crust until golden, typically around 10-15 minutes.
  • Allow the crust to cool completely on a wire rack.

Making the Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy and smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula.
  • Add lime juice and zest to the mixture, stirring gently to combine.

Assembling the Tart

  • Spread the creamy filling evenly over the cooled tart crust.
  • Distribute the diced mangoes evenly over the filling.

Chilling and Serving

  • Cover the tart with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
