  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
  • 1 box (6 oz) herbed stuffing mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional)

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage, herbed stuffing mix, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Pour in the milk and crack the large egg into the mixture. If using dried parsley, add it now.
  • Mix everything together until well blended.
  • Scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a 1-inch ball, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Check that the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  • Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with your choice of dips.

Notes

These sausage balls can be customized with different cheeses or spices. They are freezer-friendly and great for meal prep. Be careful not to overmix the ingredients to keep them tender.
