  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup strawberry puree Can be substituted with raspberry puree or any favorite fruit puree.
  • 48 pieces chocolate kisses Can swap for dark chocolate chips or any preferred chocolate candy.

Preparation

  • Clear your kitchen counter and gather all your ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mixing Dough

  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and strawberry puree until uniformly mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and cornstarch.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until combined to form a dough.

Shaping and Baking

  • Roll the dough into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  • Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after they come out of the oven.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
