Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients including fresh strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, water, and lemon juice.
  • In a blender, add fresh strawberries and blend until smooth.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch to prevent lumps.

Cooking

  • Pour in the water and mix well.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring continually.
  • Once the mixture reaches a boil and thickens, add the strawberry puree and lemon juice, stirring to combine.
  • Cook for an additional minute until desired thickness is achieved.
  • Remove from heat and allow the glaze to cool before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Can be frozen in ice cube trays for up to three months.
