Ingrédients

Dough Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk warm, not hot
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Filling Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped fresh
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and measure them out. Ensure butter is softened to room temperature and milk is warm.
  • In a bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast, letting it sit for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Pour the activated yeast mixture into the dry ingredient mixture along with the softened butter. Stir well until the mixture starts pulling away from the sides.

Kneading and Rising

  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

Assembly

  • Once risen, roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  • Spread softened cream cheese over the rolled dough and distribute chopped strawberries on top.
  • Starting from one end, tightly roll the dough into a log and cut into slices.
  • Place slices in a greased baking dish, spaced apart, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Once the rolls have risen, bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute cream cheese with a dairy-free alternative. For gluten-free, use a gluten-free flour blend.
