  • 1 can chickpeas (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can be swapped with avocado oil or any neutral oil.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Regular paprika or chili powder can be used as substitutes.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust to taste.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the chickpeas thoroughly under cool running water.

Mix Ingredients

  • In a mixing bowl, add the drained chickpeas, then pour in the olive oil and mix until well coated.

Season Chickpeas

  • Sprinkle the smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt over the chickpeas. Toss together to evenly coat the chickpeas.

Roasting

  • Spread the seasoned chickpeas onto a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, tossing halfway through for even cooking.

Cooling

  • Once roasted, let them cool slightly before serving to achieve optimal crispiness.

Serving

  • Enjoy as a snack, or sprinkle on salads, soups, or bowls for added crunch.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for 4-5 days at room temperature. For best results, re-crisp in a preheated oven if needed. Freezing is not recommended.
