Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients.
  • Dice the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces if desired, but using them whole is also fine.
  • Mince the garlic and ginger to release their aromatic flavors.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine honey, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil. Stir well to create a cohesive sauce.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker, ensuring the pieces are evenly coated.
  • Cover the slow cooker with the lid and select the cooking time: low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  • Once the cooking time is complete, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker.
  • Stir to ensure every piece is coated with the sauce, and add a splash of water if the sauce is too thick.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding more honey or sriracha as desired.
  • Serve warm, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes
