  • Gather all your ingredients before starting to make the process smoother.

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low, add cream cheese, and stir continuously until melted and creamy (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Fold in the diced tomatoes, seasoning to taste, and stir until well combined.
  • Incorporate the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted (about 4-5 minutes).
  • Adjust consistency with milk, stirring until smooth.
  • Mix in garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Simmer on low until hot throughout, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve warm, optionally garnished with cilantro or sliced jalapeños.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days, or freeze for 2-3 months. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
