Preparation
- Begin by gathering all your ingredients. Ensure to cut the ham and cheese into quarters to match the size of the Ritz crackers.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl for easy application.
Assembling & Baking
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Take half of the Ritz crackers and lay them out on a baking sheet with the salted side facing down. On each cracker, place a quarter of ham followed by a quarter of the cheese.
- Now, grab the remaining Ritz crackers and place them on top of the ham and cheese, this time with the salted side facing up. Press down gently to ensure the layers stick together.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter with Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and optional poppy seeds. If you prefer a slightly sweeter glaze, add honey or brown sugar.
- Using a pastry brush, generously coat the tops of the crackers with the butter mixture.
- Place your baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 7-9 minutes.
