  • 4 ripe Roma tomatoes diced
  • 1/2 cup white onion finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper seeded and finely diced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste

Instructions
 

  • Dice the tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro, then add them to a mixing bowl.
  • Pour in the lime juice and sprinkle with salt. Stir everything gently until evenly mixed.
  • Taste and adjust lime or salt if needed. Let sit for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  • Serve fresh with tortilla chips, tacos, or grilled meats.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a minced garlic clove or a pinch of cumin. Pico de Gallo tastes best the same day it's made.
