Ingrédients

For the Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef (85% lean preferred)
  • 1 large yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the Sliders

  • 12 pieces slider buns (soft dinner rolls or Hawaiian rolls)
  • 6-8 slices provolone cheese Use high-quality cheese for better flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for sautéing)
  • Optional toppings: hot sauce, sliced jalapeños, pickled peppers, mushrooms Add your favorite toppings for customization.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Dice the onion and bell pepper, mince the garlic, and slice the provolone cheese to ensure everything is ready to go before you start cooking.

Cooking the Filling

  • In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the diced onions and bell peppers to the pan and sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the ground beef and cook until browned all over, about 7-10 minutes.
  • Drain any excess fat from the skillet. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Allow to simmer for a couple of minutes.

Assembling the Sliders

  • Arrange the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish. Spoon the beef mixture generously over the buns.
  • Layer the provolone cheese slices on top of the beef mixture.
  • Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese.

Baking

  • In a separate bowl, combine melted butter and garlic powder. Brush the mixture over the tops of the buns.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes until golden and slightly crispy.

Serving

  • Once baked, allow the sliders to cool for about 5 minutes, cut, and serve with optional toppings.
