Quesadilla Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked steak, sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup onions, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all the ingredients. Slice the peppers and onions thinly, and make sure your steak is cooked and sliced into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, drizzle the olive oil. Add your sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté these for about 5 minutes until they're softened and fragrant.
  • Now, toss in your cooked steak, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the steak is heated through.
  • While the steak filling is still warm, place one tortilla flat in the skillet. Spoon half the steak mixture onto the tortilla and sprinkle a generous amount of cheese over the top.
  • Carefully place the second tortilla on top of the cheese and steak filling.
  • Let it cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown. Gently flip the quesadilla using a spatula.
  • Cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and allow it to rest for a minute. Slice into wedges and serve warm.
