  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, halves or whole Your preference

Caramel Mixture

  • 1 cup granulated sugar Brown sugar can be used for deeper flavor
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and preheat your oven to 325°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Assembly

  • Spread the graham crackers evenly on the lined baking sheet.
  • In a large heavy-bottomed pot, combine the butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Bring the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring until melted.
  • Once combined, slowly bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly. Cook for about three minutes.
  • Add the pecans, stirring until they are well-coated with the mixture.
  • Pour the pecan mixture over the arranged graham crackers, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake for approximately eight minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
