Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Gather and rinse your broccoli florets, ensuring they’re clean and dry.

Cooking

  • In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until the broccoli is evenly coated.
  • Transfer the tossed broccoli to a baking sheet, spreading the florets in a single layer for even roasting.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the broccoli for about 15 minutes until the edges start to crisp and turn golden.
  • Remove the broccoli from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the florets.
  • Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for an additional 5-10 minutes, watching closely until the cheese melts and turns golden brown.
  • Your broccoli is done when tender and the tops are golden. Avoid overcooking to maintain crunch.
  • Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for about a month. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
