For the Knots

  • 1 package pizza dough Ensure it's at room temperature
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter For brushing
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Or substitute with garlic powder for a milder flavor
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese For topping the knots
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Or fresh herbs for added flavor
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough until it's about 1/4-inch thick.
  • Cut the rolled dough into small strips, approximately 1-inch wide.

Knotting and Baking

  • Twist each strip of dough into a knot shape and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, and salt.
  • Brush each knot generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over all the knots.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serving

  • Serve the knots warm, ideally with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Feel free to customize by adding herbs or spices to the butter mixture. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
