  • 1 whole ripe papaya, peeled and diced
  • 1 whole ripe banana, sliced
  • 1 cup yogurt (use plain or flavored) Can substitute with dairy-free yogurt.
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy) Almond, soy, or oat milk are great alternatives.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • as needed cubes Ice cubes (optional) Use for a chilled version.

Preparation

  • Start by prepping your ingredients. Peel and dice the ripe papaya, ensuring you remove all seeds. Slice the banana into smaller pieces for easier blending.

Blending

  • Place the diced papaya and sliced banana into a blender. Follow this with the yogurt and milk, creating a creamy base. Don’t forget to add your honey for sweetness.
  • Cover the blender and mix the ingredients on high speed. Blend until you achieve a smooth, creamy consistency. If it’s too thick, add a splash more milk.
  • Once blended, check the texture. You can decide to add ice cubes at this stage for a chilled smoothie. Blend again until the ice is crushed and incorporated.
  • Taste your smoothie. Depending on your preference, you might want to add a bit more honey or some additional fruit for sweetness. Blend again to combine.

Serving

  • Once satisfied with the taste and consistency, pour the smoothie into glasses. Garnish with slices of banana or papaya on top and serve immediately.

Notes

For maximum freshness, consume the smoothie right away. Can store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Shake well before drinking if separation occurs.
