Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Remove the core from the cabbage and carefully separate the leaves.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Assembly

  • Take a cabbage leaf and place a generous scoop of the beef mixture in the center.
  • Fold the leaf over the filling and secure it with a toothpick. Repeat until all leaves are filled.

Baking

  • Grease a baking dish with olive oil and arrange the cabbage burgers seam-side down.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through.
