Preparation

  • Gather all the necessary ingredients and utensils. Prepare your workspace.
  • Place your pot over medium heat and drizzle in the olive oil. Allow it to warm up for about a minute.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Toss the pasta into the pot and stir to coat with the olive oil and garlic.
  • Pour in enough milk to cover the pasta, starting with about 2 cups.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking

  • Increase heat to medium-high until the mixture simmers, then reduce to medium-low and cook, stirring frequently for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Check the pasta for doneness, it should be al dente. Adjust cooking time if necessary.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until it melts and creates a creamy sauce.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
