Preparation

  • Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Cooking the Steak

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the seasoned steak cubes for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the steak and set aside.

Sauté Garlic and Create Sauce

  • Reduce heat to medium, and sauté minced garlic in the skillet for about 30 seconds.
  • Add honey, soy sauce, red pepper flakes (if using), and beef broth. Scrape the browned bits and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Cook Pasta

  • Cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions, reserving 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining.

Add Cream and Cheese

  • Stir in heavy cream and smoked paprika to the skillet, allowing it to bubble for another 2-3 minutes. Mix in grated Parmesan cheese until melted.

Combine Pasta and Sauce

  • Toss the cooked fettuccine in the creamy sauce, adding reserved pasta water for desired consistency.

Finish with Steak

  • Return the steak cubes to the skillet and gently toss to combine.

Garnish

  • Serve with freshly chopped parsley on top, and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
