Main Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter Softened for easy melting.
  • ½ cup whole milk Warm without boiling.
  • 4 cups powdered sugar Sifted for smooth texture.
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter Smooth and creamy for best results.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances overall flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances sweetness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and measure them accurately. Ensure your butter is softened for easy melting.

Cooking

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Stir in the milk, warming it just until it’s hot, ignoring any bubbling.
  • Once the milk is heated, remove the saucepan from the heat. Gradually sift in the powdered sugar while whisking continuously until smooth.
  • Stir in the creamy peanut butter until fully combined and smooth.
  • Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, stirring until fully incorporated.
  • Pour the mixture into a lightly greased 8x8-inch pan and spread it evenly across the bottom.

Chilling and Serving

  • Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until the candy is firm.
  • Once chilled, cut the candy into squares using a sharp knife.
  • Serve on a platter, possibly with a glass of cold milk or hot coffee.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For variation, consider adding toppings or using different nut butters.
