  • 4 cups cereal (such as Chex or your choice)
  • 2 cups mixed nuts Can substitute with seeds for nut-free version.
  • 1 cup pretzels Use gluten-free for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 cup cheese crackers Can be replaced depending on dietary needs.
  • 1/2 cup butter Can substitute with light oil or margarine.

Seasoning

  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt

Preparation

  • Gather your ingredients. Measure the cereal, nuts, pretzels, and cheese crackers and set aside in a large mixing bowl.
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stop heating once it’s thoroughly liquefied.
  • Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and a sprinkle of salt.

Combining Ingredients

  • Pour the warm butter mixture over the cereal and snack mix in your bowl, and stir gently until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  • Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).

Baking

  • Spread the coated mixture evenly onto a large baking sheet.
  • Bake for about one hour, stirring every 15 minutes until crispy.

Cooling

  • Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature. For longer storage, freeze them for 2-3 months. Reheat at 250°F for 10-15 minutes to restore crunch.
