Ingrédients
  

Cake Batter

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until smooth but do not overmix.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Leave space for rising.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, decorate with colorful sprinkles or frosting if desired.

Notes

To make it dairy-free, replace butter with coconut oil and milk with almond milk. For a vegan version, use flax eggs. Add lemon zest, cocoa, or nuts for variations.
