Ingrédients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb kielbasa sausage Can substitute with turkey, chicken, or plant-based sausage.
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard Gluten-free mustard can be used for dietary options.

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • to taste Fresh parsley for garnish Adds color and freshness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Ensure the kielbasa is thawed if previously frozen, and preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease your baking dish to prevent sticking.
  • Carefully slice the kielbasa crosswise, creating pockets without cutting all the way through, spacing them about half an inch apart.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine yellow mustard, honey, and smoked paprika. Stir until smooth.

Assembly and Cooking

  • Generously coat the sliced kielbasa with the mustard glaze, making sure to fill the pockets.
  • Place the glazed kielbasa in the greased baking dish in a single layer.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the kielbasa is golden brown, checking to avoid burning.
  • Check the kielbasa for doneness; it should be slightly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Adjust cooking time if necessary.
  • Once done, let the kielbasa cool for a minute before garnishing with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm.

Notes

Leftover bites can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. They can be reheated at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
