Ingrédients
  

Cake Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Toppings

  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Avoid burning it.
  • Stir in granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in flour, baking powder, and vanilla extract until you get a cohesive batter.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Remove cake from oven and immediately top with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips.
  • Return cake to oven for 5 more minutes, until marshmallows are melted and slightly golden.
  • Cool before slicing and serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For a fun twist, swirl in peanut butter or caramel before baking. Add chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for the ultimate treat.
