Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed.
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled Can be substituted with a non-dairy cheese alternative.
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for frying

Preparation

  • Prepare all ingredients: chop the parsley, mince the garlic, and crumble the feta cheese.

Mixing

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, crumbled feta, chopped parsley, minced garlic, oregano, salt, black pepper, and the egg. Mix until well combined.

Forming Patties

  • Shape the mixture into patties about 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Place patties in the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.

Serving

  • Transfer cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil and serve hot.

Notes

These patties can be served in pita bread, with tzatziki sauce, or alongside salads and roasted vegetables. Can be prepped ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
