  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing baking dish.

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all the ingredients listed above. Wash and chop up your vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs and milk. Using a whisk or fork, mix them together until fully combined.
  • Sprinkle in the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well to ensure even distribution of flavors.
  • Stir in the shredded cheese and diced vegetables until everything is well combined.
  • Pour the egg mixture into a greased baking dish. Use a spatula to even out the top if necessary.

Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until set in the middle and lightly golden on top.

Cooling and Storing

  • Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight.
  • On Christmas morning, preheat your oven again to 350°F (175°C). Uncover the dish, reheat for about 15-20 minutes until warmed through, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Experiment with different combinations of vegetables and cheeses. Consider including herbs like parsley or chives for added flavor. For a vegan version, use chickpea flour or tofu in place of eggs.
