Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and gather all ingredients.
  • Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
  • In a bowl, combine the lemon juice with grated Romano cheese until well blended.
  • Dip each seasoned chicken breast into the lemon cheese mixture until well-coated.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and place the coated chicken breasts in the skillet. Sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and pour any remaining lemon cheese mixture over the top.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (165°F or 75°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm over pasta, alongside a garden salad, or with roasted vegetables.

Notes

For best results, use freshly squeezed lemon juice and allow the chicken to rest after baking. Optional: Add freshly chopped herbs before serving for added flavor and color.
