Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition, then mix in vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, and mix until just combined.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
