  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced For a touch of sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing Can replace with any preferred dressing.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise, creating a top and bottom piece.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Layering Ingredients

  • On the bottom half of the bread, layer slices of salami evenly across the surface.
  • Follow this with layers of ham, ensuring every bite will have a luscious taste.
  • Next, place slices of provolone cheese over the layers of meat.
  • Add shredded lettuce, slices of fresh tomato, and thinly sliced red onion on top of the cheese.
  • Drizzle Italian dressing evenly over the vegetables.

Baking

  • Place the top half of the bread back onto the layered mixture gently.
  • Wrap the sandwich in aluminum foil securely.
  • Place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes.
  • Once baked, let the Italian Sub Squares cool for a couple of minutes.
  • Unwrap and slice the sandwich into squares.

Notes
