Ingrédients
  

  • 4 cups fresh or canned peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, toss sliced peaches with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla; let sit for 10 minutes to release juices.
  • Pour peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, milk, melted butter, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour the batter evenly over the peaches; it will spread as it bakes.
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until golden brown on top.
  • Let cool 10 to 15 minutes before serving, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes
