For the Shrimp and Pasta

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined The main protein

Preparation

  • Begin by thoroughly peeling and deveining the shrimp if necessary. Gather all your ingredients—garlic, crushed tomatoes, and seasonings.

Cooking

  • In a large pan over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Once shimmering, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute.
  • Pour in the can of crushed tomatoes and white wine. Stir together well.
  • Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to your taste.
  • Add the shrimp to the bubbling sauce and cook for about 3-5 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  • Cook your pasta according to package instructions. Drain and combine with the shrimp sauce.

Serving

  • Plate the dish and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

Notes

To store, allow the dish to cool before transferring to an airtight container; it lasts up to three days in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze in portions.
