  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or Italian seasoning blend)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional) Add for extra heat.

  • 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers For extra vegetables.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and soften the cream cheese.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella, and the grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Add the dried Italian herbs, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt, and mix until smooth.

Cooking

  • Spread the cheese mixture evenly in an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  • Pour the pizza sauce over the cheese layer and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Distribute pepperoni slices on top.
  • Add optional chopped bell peppers and black olives.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  • Broil for an additional 2 minutes to achieve a crispy top.
  • Let it cool for 5 minutes and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. This recipe is easily customizable—feel free to swap out the pepperoni for sausage or add more vegetables.
